He Is Risen… So That I Might Rise…
And take up my cross and follow him.
That I would not let the strife in this world paralyze me with fear,
And I would overcome all things with the strength which he instills in me,
Embracing those who bear it with me in community.
He Is Risen… So That I Might Rise…
Proclaiming good news for the poor,
Seeking liberty for those who are captive,
Bringing sight to the blind,
And pursuing freedom for all who are oppressed.
He Is Risen… So That I Might Rise…
To act justly in the eyes of my creator,
Love mercy in every relationship whether I find affiliation with them or difference,
And embody humility in every endeavour I partake in with the Lord at my side.
He Is Risen… So That I Might Rise…
Blessing the poor in spirit, that the kingdom of God may be theirs inclusively.
Blessing those who mourn, so they may be comforted in my weeping with them.
Blessing the meek, that they may inherit the earth and all its beauty as we cherish it together.
Blessing those who hunger & thirst for righteousness, that they may receive it in abundance.
Blessing the merciful, so they may also find mercy in all things.
Blessing the pure in heart, that it may with every beat bring sight to the living God,
And blessing the real peacemakers who truly are the sons & daughters of God giving freely of themselves.
He Is Risen… So That I Might Rise…
Always seeking to follow Christ’s embodiment of the Way,
That I would remain in awe & wonder to His revelation of Truth and make no claim of my own,
And I would prostrate every part of my being to His fullness of Life.
He Is Risen… So That I Might Rise…
Loving the Lord my God with all my heart, all my mind, all my strength, and all my soul.
That the fruits of the Spirit — love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, gentleness, & self control — would overflow in every aspect of my life & existence.
And that I would be filled with the confidence that despite any blemish, any physical defect, any state of disability, I would do even greater things for the glory of God.
He Is Risen… Let Us Rise Together In All Eternity.
