Which one book of Hirsch's would you suggest as a starting point?

It’s hard for me to think of a good beginning point for you, Ty. Hirsch has written a lot over the years and I’d hope to do you justice by steering you to something of an impactful thought line.

‘ReJesus’ might be a simpler read of Christology and centering on the identity of Jesus in our communities and discipleship movements.

But for a more in-depth theological understanding of Hirsch’s APEST (Eph 4) work, I think I’d recommend ‘5Q: Reactivating the Original Intelligence and Capacity of the Body of Christ’. Spending time with him a few weeks ago has had me wondering how I/we might see APEST working in the disabled community?

Ty, I have journeyed with Hirsch since we met in 2007 and it launched me into the house church movement and missional theology that shaped a lot of the last two decades for me. The pages here are honestly, riddled with history tied to my “church” work. I’m not quite sure just yet how to translate it into disability advocacy — despite knowing it is most definitely at work within it.

I’d love to hear your thoughts, my friend! 🙂
